We walk in peace. But with a powerful purpose.
Most Important Piece Moves First
We are not a racist group. We accept all colors, all races, all backgrounds β love has no boundary here. But we do recognize a truth we can't ignore: the Black family is under attack and needs support. We stand with them.
In pool, the 8 ball moves last. It's avoided, set aside, and only touched when it benefits the game. It can't choose its path β the table decides.
We are the 8 ball.
Black men and women in this country are treated like the 8 ball on the pool table of life: last to move, first to be blamed, never allowed to call our own pocket. We take the long route while others get the straight shot. We wait for every other ball to be set before we're considered.
But here's the truth: the 8 ball is the most important piece on the table. The game doesn't end until the 8 ball drops. Without it, there is no win.
Our mission is simple: Change how the world treats the 8 ball. The rules of pool can stay. The rules of life cannot.
As 8 balls, we will no longer wait in silence. If a business or institution disrespects us, we will show up β not with violence, but with presence. We will ask: "Do you want Black people to feel welcome here?" If the answer is no, the community will know. We will stand in court with our people so they know they're not alone. We will choose our own pockets from now on.
Because every 8 ball knows the same truth: no matter your career, your address, or your spot on the table β you've felt it. The avoidance. The detour. The silence until someone needs you.
It's time to lead the board.
It's time to call our own shot.
It's time to move first.
This is The 8 Ball Project.
My mission is not complete if my brother is not with me.
An important statement β and one we live by.
The 8 Ball Project isn't just a name β it's a network of 8 balls building power for each other. We show up for our people, share what we have, and make sure no one of us moves alone on this table.
8 balls building power for each other.
We love all β but this one's for the men. A scheduled open discussion and a safe space for men to talk, be real, and build each other up. Bring your problems, put them in the 8 bowl, and let the room hold them with you.
These discussions are not online. No email threads, no phone call back-and-forth. They happen live, face-to-face at our meetings β real men, real talk, in the room. You drop your question in the bowl online, and it gets brought to the table at the next gathering.
Put your problem or question in the 8 bowl β anonymous, and brought to the table live at the next meeting.
It's a hard fight out here. Sometimes a soldier needs a clear mind to plan the next best move β in silence, sometimes in tears of strength. It's okay to go cry. Tears of strength connect us and keep us in the fight.
You don't have to be a member to attend β all men welcome.
Is this idea something you'd show up for? Let us know β your feedback shapes how we build it.
Want to help lead the discussion? We're looking for men to guide topics and hold space.

The 8 Ball Project is strictly funded by the proceeds of GoldFix and McPro All-In-One Services β and by the goodwill of people like you. Any donation left here, or handed to us at a meeting or gathering, is one of the only means of making this project possible.
Every dollar goes directly to the work β events, decals, legal standing with our people, and the time it takes to show up. We don't have corporate backers. What we have is the community and a small business that cares.
McPro All-In-One Services and GoldFix are small, growing businesses rooted in Houston, Texas and the surrounding areas. When you support them, you're supporting a family and a mission that puts community first.
Thank you β we appreciate you more than words can say.
